CPD Requirements 2026/2027

We’ve been in the business of real estate CPD for some time. WA-owned and operated, Morton Learning commenced operation in 2005 to meet a growing need for professional development opportunities for real estate professionals in WA.

Fast forward to 2026, we are delighted to continue to be a trusted provider of CPD to the real estate industry in Western Australia.  As an (LGIRS) approved provider of CPD, we are pleased to be able to meet your ongoing CPD requirements and guide you through the changes in CPD for 2026 and beyond.

From 1 January 2026, you’ll now need 5 CPD points each year, including 1 point in each of the following areas:

  • Legal requirements
  • Professional skills
  • Ethics or professional responsibilities

To accrue CPD points, a CPD activity must relate to an approved CPD topic and must be delivered by an approved training provider.  The CPD year will run from 1st April 2026 to the 31st March 2027 the following year.  As part of the transition, training completed between January and March 2026 will count toward the 2026/2027 CPD cycle.

To ensure you are compliant, we offer 5 CPD point packages within the subject and topic areas outlined by LGIRS.  The CPD requirements are set by legislation. Participants must keep their own records of completed CPD training for up to four years.
