CPD Requirements 2026/2027
We’ve been delivering real estate CPD in Western Australia since 2005. As a WA-owned and operated provider, Morton Learning was established to meet the growing need for high-quality professional development for real estate professionals.
Now, in 2026, we are proud to continue as a trusted CPD provider for the industry. As an LGIRS-approved provider, we are here to support you in meeting your CPD requirements and navigating the changes introduced for 2026 and beyond.
What’s changing from 1 January 2026
From 1 January 2026, all real estate professionals will be required to complete 5 CPD points per year, including at least 1 point in each of the following areas:
- Legal requirements
- Professional skills
- Ethics or professional responsibilities
How CPD points are earned
To accrue CPD points, activities must:
- Relate to an approved CPD topic
- Be delivered by an approved training provider
The CPD year will run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
As part of the transition, any training completed between January and March 2026 will count towards the 2026/2027 CPD cycle.
Staying compliant
To support compliance, we offer structured 5 CPD point packages aligned with the subject areas and topics outlined by LGIRS.
Please note:
- CPD requirements are set by legislation
- Participants are responsible for maintaining their own CPD records
- Records must be kept for up to four years
