Anti-Money Laundering Obligations of Real Estate Agents (AML/CTF) (1 CPD)

From 1 July 2026, real estate professionals in Australia must comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) laws for the first time. This one-hour online course helps agents and property professionals familiarise themselves with the new requirements and understand what they mean for everyday practices. Based on AUSTRAC's official guidance and the Real Estate Program Starter Kit, the course uses plain-English explanations and real-world scenarios to build confidence around the key concepts — including customer due diligence, risk awareness, and reporting obligations. Whether you're a sole operator or part of a larger agency, this course is a practical starting point for getting your business ready.

Unconscious Bias  (2 CPD)

The biases that shape professional decisions are not always the obvious ones. They are often the assumptions running quietly in the background — influencing how we read a buyer, shortlist a tenant, respond to a client, manage a team member, or pitch a property. Understanding and mitigating unconscious bias is essential for building trust, making fairer decisions, and fostering inclusive professional practice. This course goes beyond simply meeting a compliance requirement. It is designed for real estate professionals who want to do better work, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to more respectful and equitable agency environments.

Throughout this 2-hour course, participants will explore the science of unconscious bias, including the neuroscience behind how bias forms and influences decision-making.  The course also provides practical tools and strategies to recognise, address, and reduce the impact of bias in everyday real estate practice. Participants will learn how to adopt more inclusive language and behaviour, apply fair and transparent decision-making processes, and create agency environments that support diversity, equity, inclusion, and professional trust.

Understanding the Cultural Diversity of Clients  (2 CPD)

Western Australia’s property market is increasingly shaped by cultural, linguistic and community diversity. According to the ABS, WA recorded a net overseas migration gain of around 40,410 people in 2024–25, with the largest gains from people born in the United Kingdom, India, New Zealand and the Philippines, alongside strong national migration patterns from Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Oceania.

This 2-hour course helps WA real estate professionals develop practical cultural competence skills to communicate effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse clients, families and communities. Participants will learn strategies for inclusive communication, respectful engagement and culturally aware service delivery, helping them meet client expectations, reduce misunderstandings, build trust and strengthen long-term client relationships.
